Villagers also repeat dialogue lines on a very frequent basis despite their differing personalities, which makes many conversations boring. While the updates Nintendo have done for the game are cool, it would be nice for the developers to update its events so that they have some depth and aren't extremely simple and generic (for example, Toy Day only requires you to give random gifts to villagers instead of figure out what each person wants by asking for hints like in New Leaf). New Horizons is also desperately in need of some content variety. Beyond customization, these goals don't exist in New Horizons, and that's a shame. Why not allow players to work towards unlocking Brewster and his coffee shop, or a beach clubhouse owned by Kapp'n? These are the kinds of goals that kept me playing New Leaf for well over a year, and reaching those goals was incredibly satisfying. If you find yourself hooked, consider yourself lucky – Nintendo Switch has resumed its domestic shipments. In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the only shop there is to unlock is the Able Sisters clothing store, and you can only upgrade Timmy and Tommy's shop one time. It’s good, wholesome fun without the commitment of buying a Switch.Īnimal Crossing: Pocket Camp is available on iOS and Android. Much like in New Horizons, there’s no real end point or goal in the game, you’re just living your daily life: inviting animal friends to your campsite, attending seasonal events such as cherry blossom harvesting, and designing your own clothing and site layout. The more bells and tickets earned, the more items you can buy for your character and campsite, from the necessities to extravagant additions such as cherry blossom forests and kimono. The splendor of sakura is simply soothing to the soul! /2OliVTsuYa
